About This Site

This is the personal website of Heather Kingsbury, graphic artist, web designer, and entertainment geek. I built this website as a place to share my work, photos, and other cool stuff with friends and family.

About Me

I was born in Raleigh, NC, but moved around the East Coast as a kid. In 1995, I graduated from the University of North Carolina with no specific career plans. A year later, I sold most of what I owned, packed the rest into my old, junky car, and moved to Los Angeles on a whim -- not knowing a single person there.

After a couple of years, I ended up in the entertainment journalism business. I was co-Hollywood Movies guide on About.com, design editor for Turner Network's Rougcut.com, movie reviewer for Filmstew.com, executive producer for Zap2it.com and the content producer for Yahoo TV. At the moment, I'm doing freelance work for Zap2it.
